Philadelphia’s first CPR Kiosk

On October 26, 2017 Germination Project Fellow William Henderson provided remarks at the American Heart Association’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to unveil Philadelphia’s first CPR Kiosk!

The CPR Kiosk, funded by the Raju Foundation and Richard & Laura Vague, will be permanently stationed at the Independence Visitor Center and will work to supplement the Foundation’s existing work by providing access to CPR training to over 2 million visitors and local residents each year! Over the past two years, the Germination Project launched its Healthcare Access Initiative and in partnership with the AHA, Fellows have lobbied in Harrisburg to mandate CPR as a requirement in Pennsylvania high schools, and launched our 10k challenge, which seeks to train 10,000 Philadelphians the lifesaving skill of hands only CPR.
